- It is indeed turning into such a joke for Josh, so much that he is playing there on March 31st with his band Beeravore, and whos played there with the band Severed Faith, more x than any other band has played the stage. He’s played the Severed Faith c.d. release party hes played the Atlanta Death Fest and many, many other shows with bands out of state and locally there.Josh wrote: The venue itself is great and so is parking. However, 95% of the bands that are booked there do not even deserve the credit of being promoted in the concerts section of this forum.
Fix that and this venue will thrive and not be the big joke its turning into.
- We have been hosting shows at our stage since 2007, and do not claim to be a venue. That itself separates A.T.A stage from the other places to play around town. We are a band of 4 people that opens our doors rents the stage, rents the lights and donates our time 6-8 hours or more each show to host our shows never even breaking even with what we put in financially to help put on these events. If you’ve ever came to our shows you’d notice that we are the ones doing sound, doing lights, helping bands load in and cleaning up after the shows.
- Had it been our intention to make money off bands, we would have gladly hosted hip hop or techno rave parties to break even. We have opened our doors and welcomed all bands around town to come play and help each and every one of you and all of your bands!!!! We try and hit certain bands up around town that haven’t played and welcome them time and time again with little or no response from them. We deal with 4-5 bands per show and 4-5 members of each bands conflicting schedules each month to make this happen amongst the owners events scheduling to make it work out! If anything is turning into a big joke it is the amount of disrespect we’ve gotten from you because we cannot afford to bring in certain out of state bands that have demands that we simply cannot afford. In the past we’ve done all we can to bring the best bands we could to play and have had many signed out of state bands play that agree to return to play with little or sometimes no compensation for playing in the first place. As to the others that have posted positive things about us and our shows we host as well as the bands that return to play the shows, “Thank you! and thanks for coming out and supporting local and out of state music!†We will try and host even better shows this year and next! And if you’re a band that hasn’t played our stage, hit us up; “We’d love to have you!â€Â
