Sorcery (Sweden)/Infinitum Obscure - April 22

Post by Brian » Fri January 25th, 2013, 9:09 pm

I see this has been added to the Event Calendar at Swayze's. Deathgasm show and what a fucking treat....

Sorcery was a Swedeath band who disbanded in the 90s but got back together a few years back. "Bloodchilling Tales" is a great album. Never imagined they'd ever play over here.

Was pretty excited when I saw this today too, but then realized that it was at Swayze's. Mandatory attendance, but I had hoped that place had seen its last real metal show forever. I can't wait to see that door guy tell Infinitum Obscure's inevitable maelstrom of truest cabeza cracking mexi-heshers that they can't drink anywhere on the property.

DU and 529 are already taken for this date.
And I have a large guarantee to pay. Swayze's is the only place where I can get 100% of the door.

Anywhere else and I'll end up losing a ton of money.

A show at Swayze's is better than no show at all.

Swayzes...so many awesome shows back in '05 & '06! Remember when it was still painted like a daycare? hahaha

I probably won't be making this but damn, if I was in Atlanta I would so be there.

Grave/Dismember in October '06. That was a great show. (Despite the fact that I met ScreamBloodyGore that night. Or maybe that was some other show at Swayze's.)

The current location of Swayzes used to be a video Rental store.

No, the video store was 2 doors down from there. That place closed in '06, after the owner was caught with a pound of weed behind the counter.

How else can a video rental shop stay open in post Netflix world?

We drove by one yesterday and were sure it had to be a front.
