haha yeah it's almost like that with my bf. he is a metalhead but he doesn't like certain genres like black and most of death metal. Those are my favorite genres (and thrash) but he deals with it. He likes thrash, grindcore, and some nu metal. I fucking hate nu metal and I can't stand to listen to it. I'll listen to anything he likes except the nu metal stuff.
