I have heard a few times about this, but when (if there is a time table) is the cataloging the albums going to be done? Is it really going to be available online?

It should be done by the end of this holiday weekend. Greg & Dan busted ass getting everything down, now I'll jam it into a database and make some forms.

We were just waiting for someone to ask :D

I'm heading out of town tomorrow (hopefully) and will be back wednesday night, then on Thursday I'm gonna start alphabetizing the catalog and hopefully have it done by Friday's show. That way it will take about a minute to find something we have in there, instead of the current process which requires us to drop down into the cabinet with flashlights like cave spelunkers to find an album. It sucks when someone calls up and requests an album I know we have in there but can't find because it's jammed somewhere in the middle of 1500 other cd's.

Like Bob said the hardest part is overwith, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

OK, I've got most of it but have to crash... The catalog isn't available from the main site's navigation but you can get to it directly at:
<a href='http://www.wrekage.org/catalog.php' target='_blank'>www.wrekage.org/catalog.php</a>

This hasn't been fully tested/tweaked - I'll do more of that before full integration.

Enjoy

and now it's available from the navigation controls. Again, a big thanks to Greg and Dan for taking on this huge task!

Messing up the cabinet won't be an issue anymore, since we won't have the cabinet after the move. Still not 100% on where our collection will be in the new studio, but we think it will be in the main vault with everything else.

It will be in the main vault but still separate from everything else according to all the staff emails that got sent to us. They still don't want anyone else playing our albums, haha. All the emails include little asides that say "WREKage people- ignore this" when it's talking about keeping albums in order for people to play during the daytime.

I'll be in and out of the studio tomorrow and friday alphabetizing, so hopefully everything should be 100% easier to find by the next show. Thanks for everyone's work and help with everything, this will help our show out a lot.

Dan, is this main vault big enough to survive a nuclear blast? If not it should be.

thats pretty cool. I was there at the url bob typed out, and searched for bands/cds.
I tried corpse% as a wildcard it didnt return any mutiple bands with corpse in their name. not even the big one. but i did type in CC's full band name and their catalog was there.

I was shocked to type in dissection and nothing was there. does that really mean no dissection cds are in the cabinet?

Since we're in the new studio, we're no longer using the cabinet. Speaking of the cabinet, anyone want to buy any WREKage memorabilia? :D But no, to answer your question, we don't have any Dissection.

It's a damn shame we don't too, I even mentioned that on the air before seeing that post.

Storm of the Light's Bane is one of the classic metal albums of all time, I was a little disappointed not to find it in there too. It was one of the first albums I looked for when I first started at WREKage.

How much are you selling it for? You should put it on eBay. :ch33rs:
