There is a bad-ass band called Kayo Dot that is coming to Atlanta on November 26th. For those of you who havent heard of Kayo Dot(ex-members of maudlin of the Well), they write their music as if it were classical compositions. Check them out at www.kayodot.net

I hope I can get up there for it. The only reason why I found out about the show and posted it on the WREKage site is because one of the band members, Greg, also listens to the the Internet radio station I have some shows on. He was listening to me once and told me about the show in our IRC channel. Seems like a nice guy.

Hmmm...when is this show, the 25th or the 26th? We have the 25th on the WREKage concert list. I hope it's not the 25th, or else they're going to be competing with Slayer's "Wall of Blood".

In a completely random turn of events I found that we have a copy of Kayo Dot up here at the station in the regular rock rotation, so I'll get some of it on the air and see what it sounds like.

O shit thats amazing...Kayo Dot's at wrek already. Their style of music doesn't really fit the wrekage format though. Plus each song is like 10 min+

No kidding. Both tracks programmed for play during the rock format (out of the five on the album) are over 14 minutes long.

Playing this on Wrekage would definitely be a stretch, but it is good stuff. We'll at least play it the show before their concert to plug it.
