Was anyone impressed with their "Scars Of The Crucifix" CD? I like it , but they sound like thier trying to hard. One thing I always liked about Deicide was that I could understand Glen's vocals on the first listen. I am still trying to understand them on this CD. I noticed I haven't really heard it played much. Why? :3v1l:

I don't like it that much, or most Deicide for that matter. I can respect the music for helping inspire a lot of other bands to go on and do great things, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Scars is okay. It's a bit repetitive. @soulvoid - how can you understand his vocals? Well, it's pretty easy to understand them when the title of the song is repeated throughout the song (without looking at the lyrics).
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

I don't think they will ever top the first album. It's one of my all-time favorites.

Their first album was one of the landmark death metal releases.

Every album after that, while all somewhat decent, is a pale shadow of the first one. Whenever I play something off the album on the show I announce it as being "off the album with the big medallion on it", so if it's that one you know it's the first one.

When I played something off of it I used to chuckle.

Here is Deicide with the song Deicide off the album Deicide.

Still makes me laugh
