that Incantation is pretty awesome, granted the last album I bought by them was "Onward to Galgotha" when it came out, so I haven't heard the progression over the years , so that caught me off guard

A few I didn't mention before:

Bolzer - Soma EP
Deathcult - Pleading for Death...Choking on Life
Drowned - Idola Specus
Horrendous - Ecdysis
Lvcifyre - Svn Eater
Morbus Chron - Sweven
Phobocosm - Deprived
Question - Doomed Passages

lots of good old school death metal. For black metal:

Blood Red Fog - On Death's Wings
Iskald - Nedom og Nord
Pact - The Infernal Hierarchies, Penetrating the Threshold of Night
Sargeist - Feeding the Crawling Shadows
Satanic Warmaster - Fimbulwinter
Sinmara - Aphotic Womb

couple releases from my friend Mike's label that I need to hear more:

Skaphe - s/t
Vorde - s/t

Has anyone said Godflesh yet? Sounds like Godflesh. Works for me.

Also White Lung, Freddie Gibbs, and RTJ2.

I STILL have not checked this out.
This year's been really great, almost on par with last year, which I thought was the best year for metal in a decade, and somehow BEHEMOTH is near the top for me. It's just a monster record. I never would have guessed they'd do something like this. Easily their best album.
They released a new album earlier this year? Where have I been?!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Gave the new Black Magic record a listen and I fucking love the mix of iron maiden and show no mercy era slayer riffs they have with the kind of Biff Byford vocals.

Black Magic rules. I need to check Diocletian's new album. I forgot they released it.

Cannabis Corpse's From Wisdom to Baked was definitely ripping. My new favorite from them since Tube of the Resinated.

So many good releases this year and still so many that I have yet to hear. Some favorites from what I've picked up so far...

Mortuus - Grape of the Vine (usually can't name a single top pick out of the entire year, but this was my absolute favorite)
Swallowed - Lunarterial
Abysmal Lord - Storms of Unholy Black Mass
Diocletian - Gesundrian
Teitanblood - Death
Haunting - Sealed Shut (played this tape endlessly)
Truppensturm/Thorybos - split (only had this a few days, but definitely merits a mention)
Ritual Decay - The Conquering Darkness
Anguish - Mountain
Impetuous Ritual - Unholy Congregation of Hypocritical Ambivalence

I know there are others that I'm not thinking of at the moment. Such a good year though.
