Man, I don't know what it is, but I've never been to a Basement show without a weird lineup.

I heard some people don't like the sound system there. How was a the sound?

That was a kick ass show. I thought the sound was great considering. Very Raw sounding, but that's what those bands are best at. Vimur killed it of course, always a pleasure seeing them play especially if its not at 2 AM. Great turn out as well. 1349 is way better live, gave me more respect for them watching that.

Missed the Vimur set -- must have heard that last 30 seconds of the last song as I drove by, looking for a parking spot.

Saw the first couple songs (I think?) from Full of Hell. Sat out the rest of their set.

Accidentally sat out the Tombs set.

1349 were monsters. Although not Frost, that drummer was ridiculous. Did he even sweat? He was so good that I assumed he was Frost, until Josh set me straight. He was maniacal, transported.

They had me hooked with the first three songs -- "I Am Abomination", "Nathicana", and "Sculptor of Flesh." Those are probably my three favorite tracks. I had such a good time that I accidentally stayed and watched the whole set. On a school night.

6:15 came early.

The subs continually cut out like they always do there, but that aside from that it actually sounded pretty good. Kind of quiet, but really clear.

Vimur was excellent and the only other band that should really have been on that bill. I was convinced that was Frost, too. Had an oh shit it's Ace, oh no wait, it's Tommy Thayer moment looking at his make-up. And he didn't miss a single lick. Seen them with Tony Lareano a few times, but have no idea who that guy was. He fucking nailed it though. Absolutely crushing set. Man, so fucking good. Most enjoyable show I've been to in a little while.
