I wasn't as impressed with Skeletonwitch as I was the first time I saw them come through here. Maybe it was that new singer that put me off. Iron Reagan tore up the place beautifully. Bought an LP. IR had a big neon sign with their logo lit up at the merch table and it lit up the whole of the Earl. I was tempted to ask if it was for sale so I could buy it so I could turn it off. Gatecreeper was decent enough. Oathbreaker was waaaaaay too tame. I thought, when they were doing sound check, hey, this girl can shriek. This could be really good, but she mostly whispered into the mic and all I heard was drums. I would hate to be a sound guy. Every fuckhole, like me, will complain if things aren't just right.

5:50 came really early.
I like the new singer of Skeletonwitch, but he seems sort of an odd fit for them. Their music is so melodic and that dude has an intensity like Gaahl.
Iron Reagan were fun.
I'll probably check out Gatecreeper. Maybe a mix of some Bolt Thrower, some Incantation, something else.
Oathbreaker was not my thing. In fact, we chose to go get nachos, instead.

I walked in a bit late, Gatecreeper was already halfway through...ws pretty good I thought.
Oathbreaker - was well.....don't know what to make of it, I just did not like it. Spent the set near the bar area looking confused. Shrieking and a massive wall of sound...could not make out much else - some slow interludes. Nothing that even resembles a riff and for me a riff is what makes music.
Iron Reagan was as expected. A whole lot of fun. The pit looked interesting too lol -I was on the edge though.
Skeletonwitch was excellent too - aggressive, melodic and still fast. Not bothered by the new singer much.
All in all fun show except the weirdness in the middle (also thought they got way more time than IR or its just that IR songs are short and explosive that it tends to be short)
Could not find the nerd, err Moloc It was too crowded but better this than the debacle that was Master. Next time let me know earlier which shirt to look for before the show!
