I didn't go. But based on the reports I've seen on Facebook, it was a good time.

It was great, had never seen them before. 5 from the latest, 5 from Black, and select tracks from the 1st 4 to round out the rest. They cut a Kill Em All track due to curfew which was disappointing but I still had a really great time.

Here's the setlist. On paper, it's pretty meh.

Thats some shit.

oh man they fucking ruled. they play together perfectly and Hetfield is perfect. It's crazy how well he plays. every member completely played in pocket the whole time. I guess Metallica will always be debated because they sucked ass for 15 years and have shitty attitudes. for me though I'll never forget hearing Blackened in 1988 when I was 5 at my cousins. It's like loyalty to a baseball team you once loved but they suck for a decade. I want them to rule, and they did. I recently bought Black album to revisit it, I never actually had it. It rules too for what it is. its almost proto-sludge honestly. I bought the new record for $10 and the first disc rules. They have a lot of filler but for my money they won me back over. I fucking love Metallica more than ever. If they come back I'm gonna go and spend even more money on seats.
