Atlanta Metal Compilation

Post by NeuroNomicon » Mon May 14th, 2007, 8:03 am

We're interested in assembling somewhere between 10 to 14 bands from Atlanta that are unsigned and interested in getting together on a project.

It would be preferable that the bands involved write a new piece specifically for this album.

It's just an idea, but it would be a lot of fun, and great promotion for everyone involved. It would also be cool to not limit it to genre specific stuff on the comp to keep a good medley of stuff.

A list bands we've got in mind are:

Neuronomicon
The Soul's Unrest
Amoebic Dysentery
From Exile
Ecryptus
Locust Grove
Drag the Waters
Novum Organum
Ground Xero
Withered
Morionor
Etc.

It could be some work, but the hope is the WREK can assist in drumming some stuff up for it. Maybe get DeathGasm to press the motherfucker...

Also, Paul, do you know of any local prog bands, as the list above is lacking in such...

IF any bands do this and want to record a new song I'll do it on the cheap for this compilation.

Prime Mover would definitely be interested in this.

PM'd be a great addition. The list was just the first things that came to mind.

"Terminus Terror" is reborn in compilation form.

Just one of many things that we here at Prime Mover are working to change. :D

Keep me posted on this. We definitely want to record at HB again and already have a track in mind.

Yeah, Vinny, I don't see a live track being an issue. Is it something off of "Crushing Reality"?

This could pan out to be a very cool thing.

i think i could get together a new The Souls Unrest song for this.

i'm all about an actual Atlanta METAL comp and i'd hate to not be involved with it on some level.

sign me and TSU up.

So far we've got:

TSU
Prime Mover
From Exile
Neuronomicon

This is starting to shape up into something that could be wicked. The new track specifically for this comp is what gives the comp value. Rarity, bitches.
